What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is based on the principle that your feet, hands and outer ears have reflex maps that correspond to every part of your body. Applying specific touch techniques to these reflex areas, increases circulation, reduces pain and removes toxins, enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
How Does Reflexology Work?
When there is an imbalance in one part of the body, a backache, for example, we can actually feel it as tenderness or soreness in the corresponding reflex area at the feet, hands, and ears. An experienced reflexologist can detect accumulated blockages in the reflex areas and by gently breaking down these blockage, the corresponding part of the body is likely to also experience some form of relief. Balance and health often return to the affected areas.
Integrative Foot, Hand, and Ear Reflexology
Working with all three – foot, hand, and ear reflexology – during the same reflexology session usually brings
about several results, when compared to working with just one – foot, hand, or ear reflexology. Clients get a higher percentage of relief per session. As a result, they get better sooner, needing fewer sessions, and benefits last longer.
Benefits of Reflexology
Seventy-five percent of all illnesses are stress related. Reflexology improves circulation and removes toxins, revitalizes energy, and promotes relaxation to reduce the effects of stress on the body and emotions. This can help reduce the symptoms of many conditions, including:
- Back/Neck Pain
- Digestive disorders
- Menopausal symptoms
- Muscle and Joint Pain
- Poor Circulation
- Sciatic Pain
